Scholarships help you graduate from FIU with your degree and with decreased debt. To help support fully online students, FIU Online awards a select number of scholarships. We encourage you to apply to as many scholarships as you can and apply early to increase your chances of being awarded.

In addition to the below FIU Online scholarships, there are more scholarships available for which you may qualify on the FIU Academic Works website. The FIU Academic Works website lists multiple scholarships available to FIU students and is available at https://fiu.academicworks.com.

Scholarships are offered university-wide

FIU offers online students a number of different scholarship opportunities, including the Bright Futures Scholarship, for eligible Florida high school graduates, the First Generation Scholarship, and institutional programs for academic merit assistance and graduate assistance.

Scholarships have specific criteria and varying deadlines and application requirements. We also encourage all students applying for scholarships to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, so they can be considered for financial aid.
