Financial aid recipients may be eligible to receive a Book Advance to purchase books and supplies at the beginning of the semester. The Funds for Books program is an advance on the financial aid awarded; it is not additional aid.
Apply for Financial Aid
Grants, federal work-study and federal loans all require completion of the FAFSA. All students must apply or reapply yearly for financial aid. To ensure aid is processed on time, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to March 1st, the FIU priority deadline date. The FIU Federal School Code is 009635. Watch FIU’s 7 Easy Steps to the FAFSA video.
