If an FIU Online student has an academic grievance issue and/or complaint, the University offers several resolutions with processes in place to help resolve concerns and grievances. We have provided the following resources to offer students a better understanding of the procedures to follow:

Out-of-state distance education students who have completed the internal institutional grievance process and the applicable state grievance process may appeal non-instructional complaints to the Florida State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (FL-SARA) Postsecondary Reciprocal Distance Education Coordinating (PRDEC) Council. The State of California is not a member of SARA. Therefore, students residing in California who are enrolled in distance education programs at FIU are not covered under the SARA complaint process. California students may file a complaint with the appropriate California state regulatory agency:
