The Bachelor of Public Policy and Service prepares students for professional and academic careers in public service, nonprofit management, policy analysis, and program evaluation. Learn the factors that affect all levels of government with regard to policy development, decision-making, implementation, and assessment. Understand the intricacies of how policy affects the way people live and societies work.
The curriculum for this degree, taught by renowned faculty with real-world experience in both governmental and nonprofit arenas, is designed to help students gain the skills needed to enter or advance in the public service arena. The program is intended to produce effective managers who have a keen understanding of analytical research, budget management, policy development, and community involvement.
Whether you're interested in public policy and service, diversity, and/or globalization, this degree program will enhance your learning experience and offer courses that examine the challenges of urban areas at the local, national, and international levels.

The Bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Service offers graduates tremendous flexibility in career choices. You may conduct fundraising campaigns for a nonprofit organization, negotiate city and state vendors for public services as a contract administrator, supervise public policy for healthcare research that leads to legislation, or manage municipal finances. Potential job titles may include town manager, public affairs officer, state finance officer, program review officer, legislative analyst, and regulatory agency manager, among others.
According to the U.S Department Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of social and community service managers is predicted to grow 13 percent from now until 2028, faster than the average for all occupations. Employment growth will be driven by the needs of an aging population, as well as an increase in health services. Job prospects are expected to be good because of the continued expected demand for social and public services.
