Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is held each year in May to advocate for the digital access and full inclusion of people with disabilities and impairments around the world. FIU Online is once again honoring GAAD by hosting its fourth annual FIU Online All Access Day on May 16, 2024 from 9am to 5pm EST.
On FIU Online All Access Day, our team will meet with faculty at some of your favorite locations on campus to provide one-on-one consultation on improving the accessibility of your fully online or certified hybrid courses. Whether you’d like to learn more about the principles of accessibility or just refine specific documents, the FIU Online team will be there to help.
For on-campus locations, you can schedule a window of time to visit. We ask that you please bring a laptop if possible. For those of you who teach online courses from other locations, you can schedule a one-on-one accessibility consultation over Zoom by selecting from among a number of time blocks throughout the day. FIU Online will send a 30-min calendar invite to your FIU email during the week of May 13th upon signing up.
