The Academy of Leaders (AOL) is a leadership development certification program for students developed by The Center for Leadership and Service. This fully online workshop seeks to cultivate students’ leadership skills by following “The Leadership Challenge” model.

Career Engage

Career Engage offers fully online engineering, hospitality, and graduate public health learners a launchpad for professional readiness. For eligible students, the voluntary program is available on your Canvas dashboard as a course titled Career Engage to hone human literacy skills and provide industry-specific knowledge through micro-credentials.

DC Fly-In

FIU’s signature Fly-Ins are three-day experiential seminars taking place during Spring and Summer semesters in Washington, DC. Open to all eligible FIU students, the program focuses on a specific topic at the intersection of FIU's research strengths and federal priorities. Each Fly-In includes an opportunity to draft policy solutions and to participate in advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill. Interviews for the program will be adapted to accommodate fully online applicants.

Global Learning Medallion

The Excellence in Global Learning Medallion is awarded upon graduation to students who have completed an extensive curriculum and co-curriculum designed to enhance global awareness, global perspective, and an attitude of global engagement in FIU’s graduates.
